I have been writing poems since I was 10 years old, on and off. In the past I never thought I would publish any of them. It was a personal outlet of  emotions. Now I’m in a place where I think maybe others could enjoy them.

Since about 12 years ago, most of my free time was dedicated to the practice of martial arts – until I got injured. I truly considered this to be my life’s purpose. I practiced Taekwondo for a couple of years and Shotokan Karate for 6 years.

To me martial arts are an art, with emphasis on the art part… It’s an entire philosophy, and it’s not about violence. It’s about handling and respecting boundaries between people, it’s about group interaction, being a good sport, improving physical, cognitive and mental abilities, and so much more.

Other interests I have are astronomy, astrophysics and science in general, philosophy and faith and animals, especially birds.

I am in a long process of healing now, and can’t say yet if I’ll be able or still want to get back to my sport. I suppose time will tell. One thing’s for sure – all the talents I exhibited as a child always remain within me, and I will keep writing poems.
